Our Breeding Dynasty Starts here…
Bixel’s Rabbitry raises Quality Mini Rex in Black, Broken Otter, Castor, and Tortoise. Over 4 years of selective breeding in our herd of top bloodlines to create champion animals. Our idea is excellence and we strive for nothing less than that.
Black
We have been perfecting our Black Mini Rex from the beginning. Selectively breeding quality animals from Iris Patch, Higher Ground Farm and Cresthill. Its beauty and the bottom line from our herd sires that are homebred sons of Iris Patch Bodatious. From one buck to one award winning line that continues to impress with every new generation.

Broken Otters
In 2009 after producing two amazing homebred animals we decided to focus only on our broken otters. Sticking to our roots and getting beautiful stock to start with from Higher Ground Farm, Iris Patch, Kelly’s Bunnies, and Cresthill. Breeding like we mean it our first generation animals have turned out to be doing fantastic on the youth and open show tables. This fall we will be beginning the workings of a serious Broken Otter breeding program to continue producing exceptional animals.

Castor
Our Castors are pure Higher Ground Farm perfection. In our program potential knows no bounds from our Grand Champion herd sires to our registered brood does. Starting in 2003 with a Registered Grand Champion Castor Buck with 18 GC legs till now in 2009 with a top selection of herd animals. We believe it takes one to make one and GC HGF Trol and his offspring are proving us right. With each new litter from him comes something most can only dream about.

Tortoise
A new production started here with in the last 2 years. With in a short amount of time our tortoise animals have stunned the masses with one doe placing 3rd at the 2008 ARBA Convention in Kentucky. New promise comes to us in our buck Milwaukee Brew. We have recently add broken torts in to mix with our torts. Thanks to Backyard Friends, we have gotten some very nice broken torts to start us off.
